To Hell and back.

Well, the trip to visit Dad wasn’t all bad, but it was hot as Hell. :( The temps got up over 110 at one point. Chase drove some of the time both ways. He’s a pretty good driver. My grandpa must really be careful and different with us than with his kids, because he wouldn’t let me drive. So, we stayed in Oakdale, which was somewhere around 102 degrees. The hotel was nice and we even had internet. After the complementary breakfast, we headed to Jamestown to Sierra Conservation. We managed to get 7th and made it in by 9:00. My grandfather just decided to leave us with my dad, which was fine by us. We dicussed everything that we were doing wrong and what we were doing right. My dad can always straighten us out and I think we’re all going to be okay. As long as we watch out for my mom and go out of the way to help her, we’ll all be okay. I don’t know about Garrett, though. Basically I was told to work hard with IB and football (and maybe drop IB) and not worry about getting a job. I got excited because my dad actually supports us getting a new car, like the Silverado. He helped us out a lot. I really miss him and I hope he can get out soon. I mean getting out in 2011 is quite a while away. But then again, I would be 21 at that time. Drinks on me!! :D

Mmmm.. I smell summer!

Summer is here! With that being said, I can say what I did on my first day of summer. Yesterday was full of stuff to do. After getting out at 10:00 AM from school (already took my 0 period final; no 6th period final), I went home with Mychael and played COV. Then we hitched a ride from his brother Ryan and left for Brian Campana’s house for a pool party. I went last year, but it was much better this year. We pretty much just fooled around in the pool from 12-4 playing everything from waterpolo to skeet-skeet. There was also pizza ( :D ) and good music (from Ipods). Afterwards, Cody, Mychael, and I left back to my house. Cody played some Enemy Territory while I helped my aunt set up for my brother’s graduation party.

People started showing up and Austin got back from his graduation. There were quite a bit of people there, including some of my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, mom’s friends, and family friends. Of course there were also my and my brother’s friends: Will, Chase, Cody, Mike C., Myke J., Kelsey, Cory, Jeff, Remy, Kevin, Mike Q., Davey, and Fiona (Austin’s girlfriend). We mostly just played different sorts of games, including Apples to Apples from like 11:30-1 AM. The only bad part of the day was the fact that I got sunburnt to high heaven at the pool party… :( Hopefully summer will continue on a high note.

Summer

Woo! Only one day left of school. That means I only have my English final and school is out! Looking back, it’s hard to believe so much went by so quick. Seriously, the year was a breeze, not that it was easy. I pulled out straight A’s and B’s. I think I ended up with a 3.83 GPA. Yeah, it could have been better, but that is still alright. Next year will be total hell with both IB and football. I might end up dropping football… :\. I guess we’ll see…

Anyways, the summer is going to be busy, even without any big plans planned. If anyone wants to hang out or do something, just ask me. I’m open for movies, lunch, LAN parties, or just hangin’. I’ll see you all in the summer 8) .

Gratz to the Knights!

I went to the Foothill Knights baseball Division II CIF championship game yesterday at Angels Stadium. It was amazing. Our fielding was rather bad, but our batting was great. St. Francis, an all-boy Catholic school, took at 3 run lead in the bottom of the 4th; all could have been avoided if we made better plays. In the bottom of the 6th, one of our men walked. Next up was Dean Swisher, a friend of mine who sits behind me in Chemistry. He hit a nice hard single between the third baseman and shortstop. Next up was Mr. Amazing, Justin Uribe (going to UCLA). He belted a 3-run blast to tie the game. The game remained tied past the 7th and went into extra innings. In the top of the 8th, Boxberger (the starting pitcher, going to USC) shut them out. The bottom of the 8th was intense. Two of our men got out. Brian Oda was due up next. He swung for the fences on the first two pitches and missed. Count: 0-2. Next ball, smacked way out into left-center field for a walk-off homerun. Boxberger pitched a complete game, but so did the other team’s pitcher. Final score: 4-3 Knights! CHAMPIONS!!

Congratz to all you knights out there. I hope that if I try out next year, I can make the team. :D
