So apparently I have an ant infestation in my room. They must’ve caught on to the delicious mounds of candy I hide in my closet. Oh, what I fool I was!

I will be spraying them with extreme and unjustified prejudice until I do not see them anymore. Thou shalt not screw with my desk!

New music is up, and it sucks, so don’t listen to it.

Oh, what a day was had yesterday! I shall go over the events in perfect chronological order.

Much to my surprise, I did manage to find a copy of Sonic Riders at Blockbuster, so I promptly rented it. It’s very cool, when all is said and done. Pretty fast, especially when you’re riding someone’s turbulence (which is a fantastic idea by the way). It’s got a bit of a learning curve when it comes to the controls so don’t expect to be busting out mad trickz and grinding rails right away. Takes some doing. Also, the story mode is damn hard. Been stuck on this one race for a while now. I just can’t catch up to Sonic, which is how it should be, but still. Frustrating. Anyways, it gets a thumbs up from me. Might purchase it later on down the road if I’m so inclined.

So late last night I get a call from Davey informing me that him, his girlfriend, and Joon are en route to my house. Way to give some notice, fucker. I threw on some clothes and it was decided that we were going to hit up some go-karts somewhere. Unfortunately, we got lost along the way and it was my understanding that we had to be there by a certain time or we’d be out of luck, and that time was up. So we went to go see a movie. After stopping to get some food at Of The Taco, that is. We got to the theater and nothing there look particularly interesting, but we were getting in free thanks to the Joon so Date Movie was selected. Some time needed to be killed before the movie was ready, so we headed over to the Barnes + Noble to hang around. It was soon revealed that Davey’s girlfriend had to return home because she had some stuff to do today that required her to get some sleep or something, so we got her safely home and dashed back to the theater just in time to catch the movie.

The movie? Meh. It was pretty stupid, if you couldn’t tell by the previews/advertisements. There were a couple chuckle-inducing parts, but nothing really stood out. But free is free, so no complaints here.

For some reason, after the movie Davey and Joon felt like getting something to drink so we headed on down to the local Denny’s and somehow we decided to order some desert with our drinks. That was pretty backwards. We consumed, and it was good, and the night was over. Good fun all in all, but give a man some notice next time, okay? I probably won’t even go if you pull this crap again.

Should have some new music up for your listening displeasure soon.

So, pretty interesting day today. Well, not really.

Maybe it’s true what they say about food tasting better when you make it yourself. Today I made myself some beef stroganoff in the Crock Pot. It’s pretty simple, a monkey could do it, but I still felt proud of myself for caring for the meal for the long 8 hours it was slowly cooking. Anticipation was high when it finished, and friends, it did not disappoint. Oh, it tasted like I imagine angels taste if you were to club one on the head and consume it’s delicious, heavenly flesh. So, yeah. I really need to cook for myself more often. It’s top-notch.

Anyone catch the new priest talents over at the WoW site? Holy shit. Eyonix basically gave priests a huge, early Christmas gift. Yet, with paladins, Blizzard said “/bendover.” Thankfully, Eyonix is now acting as the pally community representative and he has said that they will be looking into the paladin’s ability to tank and their interactivity in raids, so maybe they can actually use their plate armor as opposed to sitting in the back with the squishies. We shall see.

The sister should be returning to Idaho this weekend, if all goes according to plan. I love the girl but I’m ready for her to get out of here. It was awfully nice of her to bring all her stuff down here to live with us for a few months then change her mind, go back up there, and leave us with her excess crap. Yeah, we’ve got the extra room for it, sure. Granted, we had to clear out the garage for the new garage doors which are now back-ordered so all that stuff is sitting in our backyard, but hey, go ahead and run off and leave us to pick up the bill. Big “ups” on that one.

New bedsheets are so cooooomfy.

So that new Sonic Riders game is dropping today (available in stores tomorrow). From what I’ve seen of it, it actually looks pretty decent, which is a rarity for Sonic games these days (lol Sonic Heroes + Shadow the Hedgehog). Sonic Riders will probably be what Kirby Air Ride was supposed to be. Not to say that Kirby Air Ride was a bad game, but having your brake, boost, and ability all on one button was a bad design choice. I don’t care if you’re making it so even 1st graders can play it, even they can figure out how to push more than one button. I’ve seen kids hold down one button to lock-on and push another to cap a guy in GTA! But I’m getting off topic.

Sonic Riders looks to be pretty technical, and by that I mean that it’s more than “move forward, get in 1st, maybe collect some rings.” You have to manage your “air” which lets you do boosts and jumps. You also have to collect rings to go faster, similar to Mario Kart 64. Higher levels increase the amount of air you can hold and makes your attacks more damaging. There’s also the three different character types (speed, flight, and power) to take into consideration. This isn’t even mentioning the F-Zero levels of speed at which you’re doing all of this.

All in all, it looks pretty enjoyable. I’m going to see about picking it up, I’ve still got a bit of Christmas money left over. Really, though, I just need something new to play. No, I’m not getting bored of WoW, but it’s like that and DMC3 are the only games in town right now, and both of those are a year old. Post-Christmas slump, I suppose.

So there was much LANing last night, and I am told it was good, since I didn’t participate in much of it. I guess the same old Half-Life mods just don’t grab me like they do everyone else. Still, I had a good time, so that’s all that counts.

Got some new music up for you, so go ahead and enjoy. I know you will.

I guess my mom isn’t going to Palm Springs now. Apparently my sister will be home tomorrow night as opposed to Sunday night and she wants my mom to be there so this is where she’ll be. I’ll still be doing the requisite sleeping + WoW, so it’s all good either way.

I have heard rumblings of a LAN party which I may or may not be up for. The gears are still turning on that one.

I think I need a new mousepad, the one I’ve got has stopped being responsive for some reason. Very odd.

This weekend my mother is heading out to Palm Springs to hang out with her old friend at the Date Festival. And by Date Festival, I mean edible dates, not the kind I can’t get. Ha ha! Socially awkward.

Anyways, she’ll be gone and I’ll probably be busy sleeping or possibly playing WoW. In fact, scratch the possibly, and upgrade that sucker to “definitely.” Yeah, that sounds more decisive.

Basically, this is an open invitation to anyone who may wanna swing by just to say hi or to prove to me that humanity does exist outside my cold, dark pit of a room. Come on down!

I have been informed that my sister is returning to live with us this weekend. I have dreaded this day a long time, because, to be entirely honest, I think my mother and I are happier when she isn’t around. I know I am. She just brings a lot of unnecessary stress into the equation. You have no idea how much that depresses me.

When she was born I was excited at the prospect of being the older brother. The wall, the shield, the eternal protector. It was someone to play with, someone to grow with, someone to experience life with. But as we got older I went down my path and she went down hers and they just didn’t mesh. I never felt like the elder sibling, guiding my younger sister through the hardships of growing up, showing her where to not to step so she wouldn’t mess up like I had. It always seemed to me that she wanted nothing to do with me, so she shut me out. Who knows.

Thankfully, her boyfriend isn’t coming back with her, because that would’ve been complete chaos all over again. While what I said above still stands, a part of me is looking forward to seeing her again, because even though we’re fairly distant emotionally, every now and then there are brief periods where I actually do feel like the protector, and I cherish those times.

I just wish they were more frequent.

Hello and welcome to the brand new home of the most worthless blog you shall ever lay eyes on. I’m truly sorry.

Chase has had this web address for a while now. I think our original intention with it was to just sort of dick around and do whatever we wanted. Isn’t that what most people do on the interwebs? Well, that and porn.

Anyways, with the phoenix-esque revival of shakytable.com, I’ve decided to move back over here until it implodes again or someone buys us out (haha, never).

I know there’s a wiffle ball at the top of the page but I’m gonna see about changing that to some hot anime chick or whatever. It’ll be cool, I promise. Also, feel free to enjoy the music I upload. I know most of it is cliché Japanese bullshit but I like it. There might be a few enjoyable gems in there from time to time.

Okay, so…here we go, I guess. Commence to jigglin’.
